Foreigners holding travel documents issued by the following countries will require a visa to enter Singapore:

Assessment Level I Countries

Commonwealth of Independent States (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan), Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Georgia, India, People’s Republic of China (PRC), Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Holders of Hong Kong Special Administration Region Document of Identity, Holders of Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Travel Permit.

Assessment Level II Countries

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Holders of Palestinian Authority Passport, Temporary Passport issued By the United Arab Emirates and Refugee Travel Document issued by Middle-East countries.

Submission of Visa Applications

If you have a Singapore citizen or a Singapore PR who can act as your local contact, he/she can submit the visa application on your behalf through the Submission of Application for Visa Electronically (SAVE) system available at ICA website (http://www.ica.gov.sg).  Please note that a SingPass account is required for the usage of the SAVE system.  For more details on application for SingPass, please visit http://www.singpass.gov.sg.

Alternatively, you can submit your visa application at our Office.  The documents required are as follows.

Documents Required

  • One set of completed Form 14A.  The form can be taken from our Office or downloaded from ICA’s website.

  • One recent passport-sized colour photograph (taken within the last 3 months) of the applicant. The photograph must be taken against a white background.
  • Passport (photocopy and original) with at least 6 months’ validity, calculated from the date of arrival in Singapore.
  • Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) or Exit & Entry Permit (photocopy and original).
  • A photocopy of the flight reservation for the entire trip.
  • A photocopy of your hotel confirmation in Singapore (with applicant’s name on the guest list).

Additional documents for Level II Nationals

  • One set of completed Form V-39A* from your local contact.  The form can be taken from our Office or downloaded from ICA’s website.

  • A computer printout of the Singapore registered business entity’s detailed business profile (showing the names of all the directors / shareholders) from Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority’s website (http://www.acra.gov.sg) for Business Visit Pass.
  • A copy of the local contact’s Singapore identity card (both front and back) for Social Visit Pass.  The local contact should state that the copy of the Singapore identity card is for the applicant’s visa application.

* The Form V-39A should be completed by a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 years old and above.  For visitors coming to Singapore on business-related trips, your Form V-39A should be completed by the Singapore registered business entity.  If you are unable to provide a local contact, you may approach your Embassy to complete the Form 39A to support your visa application. 

Other supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.

Through Our Office:  NT$700

Online Application:  S$30

The fee collected is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application or if you withdraw the application after submission.

Processing Time

Assessment Level I Countries:  Typically 1 working day (the visa approval process may, at times, be slightly longer.  Should that be the case, the applicant will be notified by our Office accordingly.)

Assessment Level II Countries:  Typically 3 to 5 working days (once the visa is approved, the applicant will be notified by our Office.)
